For a student taking the CSEET route, the registration and first-attempt examination subtotal is approximately ₹54,000, excluding the optional Executive journal. Before comparing two quoted totals, check their inclusions. One may cover only registration, while another includes exam enrolment, a journal subscription or private tuition. A smaller advertised amount does not tell you the complete budget.
CSEET Fees: Registration And Examination
Under the revised structure applicable from June 2026, CSEET registration costs ₹7,500, including the Student Induction Programme and ICSI online classes. Examination enrolment is ₹1,500 per session, making registration plus one session ₹9,000 before concessions or extra charges.
Treat registration and exam enrolment as separate tasks. Paying the registration amount does not mean your exam application is complete. Keep both acknowledgements and check that the chosen session appears correctly in your account.
Older fee guides may describe the previous CSEET structure. When planning a new application, use information that applies to the revised course rather than a past student’s receipt.

Why Do Some Tables Show A Higher Executive Total?
The difference is the optional journal. Keep it visible as a separate choice rather than describing both totals as identical mandatory charges. ICSI’s current career presentation gives the amounts excluding that subscription.
Confirm your route before you apply. Direct entry depends on ICSI eligibility; it is not an option every school-leaver can select to reduce costs. The revised announcement lists graduates and postgraduates among the exempt categories.
CS Professional Fees Structure
Professional registration follows passing Executive. The published ₹20,000 comprises ₹19,000 education fees and ₹1,000 pre-examination test fees. Examination enrolment is separate.
The current syllabus has two groups at both Executive and Professional. Applying the published per-group rates gives ₹3,000 for both Executive groups and ₹3,600 for both Professional groups, for one attempt at each group.
If you spread groups across sessions, plan when each payment falls due. If another attempt is needed, revise your budget around the groups you must actually enrol for.

Do not use either subtotal as a promise that your entire qualification will cost that amount. Your actual CS total fees depend on the route you qualify for and the expenses you incur along the way.
Additional Costs To Include In Your CS Budget
Coaching And Learning Resources
Private coaching prices depend on the provider and package. Before paying, ask whether the quote covers individual subjects or full groups, recordings, tests and doubt support. Check access expiry and any applicable taxes.
If you buy extra books or a separate test series, record those purchases too. Small payments are easy to overlook when comparing an annual budget with a single course quote.
Training And Membership
ICSI’s qualification pathway includes pre-membership training beyond the examinations. Budget separately for the applicable Executive Development Programme, practical-training requirements and Corporate Leadership Development Programme, then check membership charges when you reach that stage.
Use the relevant batch notice for training costs. Avoid assuming one batch’s price applies to every location or format. Also check whether travel, meals or accommodation are included before comparing options.
Repeat Attempts, Late Fees And Travel
Keep a reserve for another exam session, travel to your centre and any overnight stay. ICSI’s published Executive and Professional instructions specify a ₹250 late fee and charges for certain permitted changes. Verify the notice for your session.
A practical budget includes some flexibility. Planning a reserve does not mean expecting to fail; it means avoiding a cash shortage if your timetable changes.
Fee Concessions And Financial Support
ICSI publishes concessions for specified categories. Registration and exam concessions can differ, so check each component rather than applying one discount across the whole course. The revised CSEET notice, for example, lists category-based concessions separately for registration and examination enrolment.
